My Bio
I customise shoes for fun. Shoes should be worn and not displayed! At the same time, I want the clients to feel like they truly own their style.

Having completed more than a few commissions for random patrons in cafes, I decided to stop being a nomad and set up shop.
I specialise in wearable art, drawing inspiration from my previous experiences in tattoo-making, playing a breadth of video games, watching a ridiculous amount of animation, and reading an even more ridiculous amount of comics.

Anything I can hold
When I arrived in Korea, I really didn't know what to expect. There were 2 things I was absolutely sure of; I would live in Korea for at least a year, for better or worse. I didn't bring enough money. I flew in on a Sunday night and I started to work in an English academy Monday morning. I would wait 2 months and then some for my first paycheck since I had to wait for immigration to clear things (Korean paychecks are distributed monthly, not bi-weekly). I had just replaced a very disgruntled former employee, so no one would have the time to train me for a job that I don't have experience in. During that time, I would learn to starve myself

Back in 2011, I had aspirations to be a lawyer. The way that my father put it was that I was built to be a lawyer (I'll get into that another time). After a year of practising for the LSAT (Law School Admissions Test), it was time to just do it. I went in, focused and getting my questions done quickly. Was it too quick? Did I make a mistake? Do I have time to get back? The answer I forced myself to believe was a resounding no. Then, a series of things happened that would spark something in me. Another test taker had broken the lead on his pencil. The sound cut through the silence of the room and in turn, everything else's volume  was ampl

Brief Intro

0 min read
Hey there Deviants! Just a brief intro and hello to the world! I think I will be using this journal space to detail my experiences in Korea as an expat. I'm also open to answering any questions that you may have! But first a small look into me. I was born in Montreal (French speaker), the younger of 2 sons of Bangladeshi parents (Bengali speaker). I moved to Surrey, BC when I was young (English speaker because ain't nobody else in Canada speaks French). And now I have been living in Korea for 5 years (Korean speaker). Try explaining that to someone when they ask "How do you know that many languages?" In all honesty, as much as I would love
